Tired of trying to manage your kids' stress AND yours?

The BE Buddy is a stress relief toy for kids that will teach them how to regulate their emotions.

They’ll learn how to go from stressed and anxious to calm and focused— all on their own!

Your kids are growing up in a completely different environment than what we’re used to.

This new digital landscape is part of reason why students stress so easily today. Our youth are faced with:

  • Busy schedules
  • Social media distractions
  • Cyber-bullying
  • Poor diets
  • Constant access to screens & stimuli

All of these contribute to why your child is feeling anxious and disconnected at such a young age.

Don’t let them bring these traits with them into adulthood. You can help reduce childrens’ stress and frustration with just ONE tool.

Meet the BE Buddy!

kids stress relief toy - the BE Buddy

The BE Buddy® is a kids’ stress relief toy they can use to regulate them feel calmer and more focused.

Alright, but how can this simple weighted plush toy help?

Well, there are 3 evidence-based ways you can teach your kids to tackle their stress:

1.  Mindful breathing
2. Exercise
3. Relaxation

1. Mindful Breathing

Mindfulness teaches kids how to calm down when they need it most. And it starts with focusing on your breathing. How? It helps you stay in the present instead of worrying about the past or future.

The BE Buddy® is a multi-sensory breathing pal, stress relief toy, and comforting eye pillow. Using it consistently every night will teach your child how to relax, relieve stress, and build healthy self-care habits early in life.

2. Exercise

Discover the psychology behind bad breathing habits and fix the ones that cause stress (like bad posture and physical tension).

Daily exercise teaches your kids to build body awareness and releases physical stress and tension. The BE Buddy® is an excellent posture prop for balancing poses and yoga-based movement.

3. Relaxation

Relaxation is the opposite of stress. There are physical effects of chronic stress, and practicing relaxation is proven to help kids relieve physiological tension.

Developing Minds states that practicing any form of relaxation for one minute or more lowers a child’s heart rate, breathing rate, skin temperature, and muscle tension.

How Kids' Stress Relief Toys Work

The National Institute of Health reports a 20% increase in anxiety disorders among children. They estimate that 30% of teenagers suffer from too much anxiety.

Here’s how you can teach your kids to use their stress relief toy daily to build better systems for reducing their stress and anxiety.

I designed this kids’ stress relief toy as a therapy tool to help kids learn breath awareness and relaxation to calm the nervous system.

With practice, kids will learn to tap into their inner world to promote healthy self-care habits and stress management.

One of the methods often used in teaching mindfulness (present moment awareness) is to pay attention to the senses, which is why the BE Buddy includes elements for touch, smell, and sight!

The "Bandit" Buddy is a lovely scented pillow that is great for helping kids learn deep breathing and self-regulating. I originally got this for my older child, who was excited to practice the breathing that we are learning in yoga. My younger child also loved it so much, that I ended up ordering a second Buddy (pink/rainbow pig this time)! The kids want to sleep with this, lay down for nap with this, and carry it around. When they get wound up, I remind them to go find Bandit and take a few moments.I love that this is so kid-friendly, with the bright colors and friendly faces. It's filled with flaxseed and lavender, so I am comfortable allowing my kids to sleep with this. (Also, no long cords, so not a strangulation hazard). The lavender scent is just lovely. I almost want one for myself! The front is a canvas-like material, and the back is a soft velvet. The feathers do shed a bit, but most of it seems to be staying on.Great idea for kids to learn healthy coping skills, body awareness, and calming techniques!

This Be Buddy toy is so cute. It’s soft canvas front with printed face and a patterned velvety back. It smells like lavender, grass, mint. The scent is obvious but not overwhelming to me. The side ropes are smooth and the tuft of hair is lightweight to blow with air. It shed a few but not too many. I wasn’t successful trying to make my 3 yr old do breathing activities with it - yet. Sometime in the next 100 tries, it’ll work like everything else 😅. He does like the toy though, and took it to bed with him.

I bought this for my little cousin, but I honestly want to keep it for myself! I just learned about breathing exercises last year when I kept finding myself yawning in order to catch a full breath. Found Stephs videos and these toys and they’re so CUTE. And they smell really good. Definitely a fun/helpful item to have in the house

I was recently diagnosed with intermittent asthma. Dr. has me focus on inhale/exhale exercises. I guess the stale air at the bottom of lungs can harbor bacteria, causing illnesses. In just a few minutes a day, my BE Buddy helps me focus on keeping my lungs in the best health they can be in. Thank you for this adorable helper (and he smells good too! )

M.A.Ed., RYT-200, Yoga Calm® Youth Instructor,  BREATHE™ Coach, and certified Oxygen Advantage® Instructor.

The breath is your superpower, and my mission is to help kids and families learn how to use it!

As a teacher, I realized that children experience many stressors that lead to anxiety and other health issues.

With anxiety rates rising, I was determined to help kids learn simple yet effective tools to navigate life’s ups and downs. The breath is directly linked to the nervous system and is the quickest way to interrupt the stress cycle (if done correctly).

Unfortunately, most people breathe inefficiently and in a way that fuels the stress cycle. The good news is you can quickly correct this with awareness and practice. Making a simple change to your life can make such a positive difference to your health and well-being!
